the next level......

Updated 03-06-08

Impact is having a tremendous innaugural season.  Last Saturday Impact performed to a very enthusiastic audience at Fauquier High School in Warrenton, VA.  Impact placed 1st for the second consecutive week in the Independent A class, with a score of 76.6.  This was like a home show for Impact, as many of the performers had family and students in attendance.  Also in attendance were members of the board of MANY, our parent organization.  This weekend, Impact prepares for the WGI Power Regional at South Brunswick on March 15th and 16th.  Congratulations once again to our hard working members on their performance.

Updated 10-14-07

In spite of some major changes to our rehearsal arrangements, Impact's first rehearsal camp was very productive and fun!  Students successfully completed the first series of technical benchmarks set forth by the staff, and were given some new assignments for the November 4th camp.  In addition to our returners, two new faces came to Impact family and were welcomed aboard.

The staff of Impact is also pleased to announce the addition of Tracy Wooton to our design staff.  Tracy has played a key role as a staff member for some of the most successful guards in WGI.  Most recently Mr. Wooton has served as the Director of the Northern Lights Winter Guard, and he was a presenter at the 2007 WGI Spinfest in Orlando, Florida.  Staff and members alike are very excited to have him on board!

Our rehearsal was held on the grounds of the University of Virginia.  Some highlights of the day included, sour skittles, leisurely walks, an impromptu birthday celebration, tan/burn lines, cool new flag tricks, and a few Rifle 7's and 8's!  (that's not a misprint.)  The next rehearsal is Sunday November 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Keep checking back for location and directions.  Way to go IMPACT!
